How the projection works

Each side is rated by its players' average career 3-dart average (01 games) and marks per round (cricket), regular season only. The formula was fit on 1,982 real games with known lineups, rating the players only on their other seasons so it couldn't peek at the results. On games it hadn't seen, it picked the winner 66% of the time. MPR turned out to matter more than 3-dart average.

It projects a single game, not a whole match, and doesn't know about form, nerves or the board. Projections stop at 90%: past that the formula was overconfident, and upsets happen.
